An icon in the field of Urology and a former head of the Veterans Memorial Medical Center Department of surgery, none other than Dr. David Abraham, was given tribute in the form of a golf tournament where alumni of the section of Urology, friends and colleagues attended the momentous affair. The fist day of the scientific fora which was emcied by Dr. Carlos Ramon N. Torres started with Dr. Jose Rufo U. Campana, the midyears overall chairman, giving the welcome address. Our present PUA President Dr. Jaime C. Balingit formally opened the convention shortly afterwards.
The participants started pouring in today, the 13th of April, in the historic city of Iloilo. Alighting from the plane PUA members with their accompanying love ones were welcomed in the newly built modern airport by the Paghidaet tribe with their colorful ati-atihan costumes and dance.
